He an NYU Prof of Economics and is the author of The White Man's Burden: Why the West's Efforts to Aid the Rest Have Done So Much Ill and So Little Good. You have to make sure to read some of the comments at the bottom of their post to get other informed, but dissenting opinions, as well.
